About QAFI v.4

QAFI - Quaternary-Active Faults Database of Iberia
QAFI is a database of faults showing geological evidence of activity during the Quaternary (last 2.6 million years). The objective of the database is two-fold: 1. Serve as an official repository of scientific information available to all the researcher’s community, and 2. Facilitate knowledge-transfer to the industry and society in general, particularly for improving seismic hazard provisions by means of including geological data from active faults. This version of the database (QAFI v.4) is hosted and maintained by the Geological Survey of Spain (IGME) and is freely accessible to the research and technical community and to society in general. See Disclaimer for information on the use of QAFI. QAFI v.4 has been made possible thanks to the free effort of many Iberian Earth Science researches (list of compilers) and different research projects (see acknowledgments). Please, read the users’ guide to learn more about QAFI v.4 and find the improvements done in relation to the precedent version.
