From observations on MCS lines from Gómez de la Peña (2017) fault seems sealed by Upper Pliocene to Q deposits. Álvarez-Gómez et al. (2011) considered 0 km for tsunamigenic source modelling

Quaternary activity evidence :
No apparent deformation of Quaternary reflectors are observed on the north flank (Chalouan etal1997; Gómez 2017). However, thinning of Plio-Quaternary reflectors on the south flank may be related to tectonic uplift of the Tofiño bank (Calvert etal 1997).

Brief comment:
MSC on the northern flank shows no compelling evidence of Quaternary activity (Chalouan et al., 1997; Gómez de la Peña, 2017). Chalouan etal 1997, M-G etal 2017 show evidence of Quaternary folding a tilting on the southern flank of the Tofiño-Xauen banks.
Age of the youngest deposits or landforms affected by the fault :

Brief comment:
Activity on the north flank may have diminished or stopped during Quaternary (Gómez de la Peña, 2017). Chalouan et al. (1997) evidences Quaternary activity on the south flank, related to a different fault (Jebha offshore).

Vertical Slip Rate VSR (m/ky) :

Variability/Error:
<0.6

Brief comment:
Chalouan et al. (1997) from a rough uplift estimation of the fold crest since Late Tortonian. This value must be regarded as an overestimation as provides around 4 km uplift while more active Alboran Rigde North fault provides 1-2 km (Gómez, 2017).
Horizontal Slip Rate HSR (m/ky) :

Brief comment:
From NSR and assumed rake. This value must be regarded as an overestimation.
Net Slip Rate NSR (m/ky) :
0.878
Variability/Error:
<0.878
Source:
AR
Brief comment:
From VSR, dip and assumed rake. This value must be regarded as an overestimation and more likely attributed to the southern flank fault rather than the northern one.
